Hospice West Auckland is a registered charitable trust that was set up in 1987 to give free care and services to West Aucklanders needing support, care and advice during terminal or life-threatening illness.

 

This care extends to families/whanau and carers.

                            

 

How we help the people of West Auckland

We provide support for patients, their families, and those who care for them; through practical advice and physical, emotional and spiritual support; with an emphasis on pain relief and symptom management. Our focus is quality of life at the end of life.

 

How you can help

While we receive some financial assistance from Waitemata District Health Board, and a range of charitable organisations, we also rely heavily on the generosity of our local community. Each year our shortfall is made up by donations, bequests, business sponsorships, fundraising activities and our second hand shops.

We are incredibly grateful to those who have already contributed to our services.

Hospice West Auckland is governed by a board of trustees. They are experienced and trusted people from the West Auckland community, who have the skills required to provide the stewardship and governance of Hospice West Auckland.
