Christmas Stars

Make sure you hang a star in honour of your absent loves on one of our remembrance trees this year. You can find the remembrance trees in shopping centres throughout West Auckland - Kelston, Lynnmall, West City, Westgate, Kumeu, Te Atatu, Lincoln Road Mitre 10 and popping up at markets such as Titirangi and Oratia. Christmas Stars is a key fundraising event for Hospice West Auckland, so if you see us out and about please stop by, say hello, donate your change and hang up a star in remembrance of your special someone. We'd love to meet you.

This year everyone who donates has the opportunity to enter the draw to meet a star! One lucky person will win a tour of the Shortland Street studios - and a coffee with the lovely Virginie le Brun, who plays Gabrielle on the show! Virginie is a wonderful lady and this prize will really make the day of a lucky Shortland Street fan.

Monthly information afternoons
Hospice West Auckland is holding a series of information afternoons for new patients and families in Hospice care, or any interested parties that might like to come along. It's an informal gathering where you can meet the Community Palliative Care Team and find out about the holistic services we provide. The events are held at Hospice House in Te Atatu and light refreshments will be served. If you are interested, call us for a chat and more information - 09 834 9755

Visit the Hospice West Auckland Craft Group at Lynnmall

The third Friday of every month sees the HWA Craft Group, of volunteers and patients taking their wares to a stall in Lynnmall, outside the Countdown. Get along to support the group and you will be able to purchase wheatbags, aprons, tea cosies and an assortment of other gorgeous handmade crafts.

The materials that the group uses are all donated and the proceeds from all sales by the HWA Craft Group go straight back into helping the Hospice deliver compassionate support to people in the community with life-limiting illnesses and the families that care for them.
